The Zoom H6 Handy Recorder is a compact yet powerful multi-track recorder that provides an all-in-one solution for capturing high-quality audio anywhere. Musicians, podcasters, journalists, filmmakers and more will appreciate its versatility, intuitive operation and studio-quality sound. At the heart of the H6 are interchangeable mic capsules that allow you to choose the right microphone for any recording situation.
Versatile Inputs and Preamps for Any Source
The H6 offers four XLR/TRS combo inputs with adjustable preamps for connecting external microphones and line-level devices. Use the optional EXH-6 capsule to add two more inputs. The preamps provide over 60dB of gain for distortion-free recording of any sound source from the loudest instruments to the subtlest ambience. Pad switches attenuate signals by –20dB to prevent overloading the preamps.
High-Resolution Recording Formats
Record in formats up to 24-bit/96kHz to capture every sonic detail. Choose among WAV and MP3 formats and record continuously for over 20 hours on four AA batteries. The H6 records to SD, SDHC and SDXC cards up to 128GB for maximum storage.
USB Audio Interface for Computer Connectivity
The H6 doubles as a USB audio interface for Mac, PC and iPad. Connect it to your computer via USB to record and playback audio with music production software or use it as a standalone USB mic preamp and mixer. Up to six channels can be recorded and played back simultaneously.
Rugged and Portable With Long Battery Life
Despite its advanced features, the H6 is compact and durable for life on the go. Power it for up to 15 hours with four AA batteries or continuously with the optional AC adapter. Its rubberized chassis and metal chassis plate protect the H6 from the rigors of field recording.
